While fishing seems like the idea behind this movie, it is really about the trust between two people and how strong and real that trust is between two people who care about each other is. It is also a lesson in learning how to forgive and move one. Overall, I thought that story was very touching. Had some good subtle one liners.

“You might expect An Occasional Fish to be about fishing, but fishing is simply a convenient vehicle to explore issues of friendship, broken trust, and anger. Working with a limited budget, filmmakers Neil Brady and Earl Nulton deliver an absorbing tale given they’re first-time filmmakers. Nulton is also to be commended for delivering a credible performance as Jack, the film’s kind-hearted but angry protagonist. Most importantly, viewers will walk-away with a reminder of the importance of forgiveness.”
