AN OCCASIONAL FISH
A heartfelt movie about the perils of Friendship.
HE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU FOR THIS GIFT!
A GUY FLICK that's FAMILY FRIENDLY!
My name is Earl Nulton, writer, producer and lead of AN OCCASIONAL FISH. It was my dream to see one of my scripts come alive by being turned into a movie. After hundreds of phone calls, emails and letters, I realized that no one was going to produce my movie for me, so I produced it myself.
It was really cool to get awards from film fests and positive reviews and praises from film professionals and friends. This is a first time film, however, in spite of so many positive responses, we had no distribution offers. I talked to many filmmakers and started investigating the marketing of a film and found that distributors rarely pick up anything but Studio films.
It took years of work and the cooperation of many people, to finally complete our film. The reason you make a movie is so people can see it. I decided I have to make our movie available by myself and that's why I am contacting you. I decided I would not only offer a movie, but I'd like to give people a chance to get to know me and what I do. A chance to understand that there are filmmakers fighting to get their stories told, but the old methods no longer work for audiences or the new filmmaker, so we have to come directly to you, the audience to make our case.
Have you been asking yourself,
"What should I get him?"
The answer is THIS DVD.

"I congratulate you on having the courage to make a fine thoughtful film."

"It's a great story, very moving" Kristine M. Wilkes-Barre
“You might expect An Occasional Fish to be about fishing, but fishing is simply a convenient vehicle to explore issues of friendship, broken trust, and anger. Working with a limited budget, filmmakers Neil Brady and Earl Nulton deliver an absorbing tale given they’re first-time filmmakers. Nulton is also to be commended for delivering a credible performance as Jack, the film’s kind-hearted but angry protagonist. Most importantly, viewers will walk-away with a reminder of the importance of forgiveness.”
Thomas Baker, Ph.D., The Accolade, CA
Linda Marie Ponte, composer, Boston, said, "I cried!" after the screening at 'The Indie Gathering Film Festival' Cleveland Ohio
...Directors, actors and writers of indie features often find themselves not so much constrained by the lack of a studio film budget, but liberated by it, getting to solve problems through creativity rather than by just throwing money at it. One such film is An Occasional Fish... Rich Drees, Philadelphia
While fishing seems like the idea behind this movie, it is really about the trust between two people and how strong and real that trust is between two people who care about each other is. It is also a lesson in learning how to forgive and move on. Overall, I thought that story was very touching.

...Thank you for your efforts in not only envisioning, but actually creating "An Occasional Fish." ...you are truly an inspiration to us. ... We can't wait to see your next completed project. Jennifer Peres, Spiritual Cinema Inc., NM
